Strolling through downtown Fairhope with its quaint shops, colorful flowers, and laid-back charm is always a joy, and this day was no different. It was the perfect backdrop to Ava's Fairhope senior portrait session. Even with Fairhope's fun eclectic vibe, Ava's senior portrait did not start out as I planned. If you live in or around Mobile, AL you are familiar with our "tunnel." You have to be careful with the tunnel...Sometimes you can zoom through and be across the bay and into Baldwin County in less than 10 minutes. Other times, you will sit in stand-still traffic for who knows how long waiting for the road to clear....I always leave in plenty of time because I cannot stand to be late for a session...It is my pet peeve...But this day, the tunnel had other plans. It wasn't a complete standstill but just enough to be a few minutes late. The good news, I always plan sessions with a little "wiggle room." I never want my clients to feel rushed. I always want it to be a fun stress-free experience, and Ava and her sweet Momma were so gracious and relaxed. Despite a bit of a late start, the session flowed beautifully, and we still had plenty of time to capture some gorgeous portraits.
Ava is graduating this year from Baldwin County Virtual School and is headed to Florida Gulf Coast University to study nursing. A beach bum at heart, Florida is going to be the perfect fit for her laid-back confident style. Her genuine smile and easy-going attitude made it easy to forget my initial rush and just focus on capturing some gorgeous shots.
We ended the session at Fairhope Pier and grabbed a few shots over the water. I had the best time hanging out with Ava and her precious Momma! I cannot wait to watch her conquer college and make her mark on the world!
